I am passionate about my work with adults and couples in a comfortable and welcoming private-practice office in Irvine, California. It's an incredible honor to witness my clients' growth and to be a part of their self-discovery.
The education piece:
The best part about my love of learning is my ability to share new things with clients in the service of their growth. Apart from my Master's in Psychology with honors from Phillips Graduate Institute, an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and certification in Grief and Bereavement Counseling, I regularly collaborate with other leaders in the field of LGBTQ affirming therapy.
On a personal note:
Travel is a priority of mine as it opens my heart and mind to new experiences. Living and working for extended periods in Europe and South America has cultivated a sensitivity for and love of cross-cultural communication. My "previous life" in the entertainment industry gives me an in-depth understanding of the creative process and population. I consider myself a strong ally to LGBTQ folx, their families, and people who love them. My friends and family mean the world to me and I remind them of this fact at regular intervals.
What this boils down to:
Though education and experience play a role, research shows that what really matters most in successful therapy is the fit of the relationship between the client and the therapist. If what you've read here resonates with you and you're ready to get started, give me a call at 949-648-7991 or email me to set up an appointment.
